My new favorite work out can be done with a yoga ball, jumprope and a flight of stairs. I do 10 sets of stair up and downs, 100 jump ropes and 100 sit ups on teh yoga ball repeated three times. I am SWEATING by the end!!
This blog is designed to help stay at home parents get some exercise while caring for children. We hope you enjoy our ideas.
Lap Songs
Sit with your baby on your lap and bounce with the words. Look at your baby's face and smile. Lap time is great for language development.
1-2-3 baby on my knee, Rooster crows and away he goes! (Put baby up high when you say away he goes)
Rickety, rickety, rocking horse, Over the fields we go. Rickety, rickety, rocking horse, Gitty up! Gitty up! Whoa! (Pretend like baby is riding the horse on your lap, then pull back on the reins and lay back a bit when you say Whoa!)
We all live in a washing machine, we wiggle and we giggle until we're clean, we all live in a washing machine, we wiggle and we giggle until we're clean, then mommy shakes us out to dry, and hangs us from the clothesline high! (Twist, shake and giggle like the washing machine does, then hold baby up as high as you can reach)
